Meridian Bank's employees juggled more than thirty internal applications, each with its own login, look and logic. We built Forge — a secure internal platform and a component library that made them feel like one product.
Years of growth left the bank with a patchwork of internal systems: different frameworks, inconsistent UX, duplicated logic and a security review for every change. Onboarding a new employee took weeks; shipping a new internal feature took months.
Compliance requirements (GDPR, NIS2, internal audit) made a quick rewrite impossible — the platform had to be migrated tool by tool, without downtime.
We designed Forge as an internal SaaS: single sign-on, role-based access, shared services for audit logging and data access — and a React component library that encodes the bank's design language, accessibility rules and security patterns.
Teams migrate tools onto Forge at their own pace. Every screen built from the library is consistent, compliant and audited by default.
What we built
Eighteen months in, more than thirty tools run on Forge. New internal features ship four times faster, security review findings dropped sharply, and the platform passed the bank's ISO 27001 surveillance audit without a single major finding.
“They rebuilt our internal platform and gave us a design system the whole bank now runs on. Rare to find a team this strong in both engineering and design.”
